Email Response to a self-proclaimed Ex-Christian

Email Response to a self-proclaimed Ex-Christian
on our "50 Reasons - Jesus is God" video.

I received an Email on Tue, Jan 31, 2017, 12:18pm from someone called Saroj Swalsingh claiming to be part of PTI Ranchi in his email signature.
Please read below the response which I shared with him in 2017. There was another reply from him however I did not respond because it was full of illogical claims which did not need any serious attention.

Email Response: (Unedited as drafted in 2017)

Dear Mr. Saroj Swalsingh,
Thank you for writing to us!

We are glad to know that you had an opportunity to see one of our videos through whatsapp link titled “50 Kaaran Yeshu Khuda hei”. This is a video series in Hindi Language, where we have shared 50 reasons from the Bible proving Jesus is God.

We appreciate your interest in minutely analysing our video and the reasons provided on which we concluded “Parameswar jo kuchh bhi hai yeshu who sab kuchh hai” (Jesus is Everything What God is).

We are happy to learn that you are keen in replying to all our points. However, as a Christian and the maker of this video series, I must respond to the points you raised and the charges against the divinity of Christ.

I would like to go point by point explaining the scriptures you shared as contradiction to the one’s that we presented. Before we proceed, I am really confused about your position. What do I mean by that? Here are the reasons why I feel so,
1 – You have admitted that you are not a Christian.
2 – You are using Bible to answer my points

The above 2 reasons are contradicting each other. If you are not a Christian, then you cannot use Bible to disprove Bible because for “Non-Christians”, the bible is not the word of God or the right  reference/absolute point” to refute the other person. It would make sense if you had used any other worldview (Islam, Atheism etc) to argue against the divinity of Christ.

Furthermore, if you are a Christian, then you must realize that the Bible in its whole cannot contradict itself if studied in context. Yes! there are many “Alleged and Apparent” contradictions if scriptures are taken out of context or read into it.

There are many people who are in the same boat in which you are right now. Nevertheless, irrespective of your position or which worldview you support. Considering your stand as neutral or sceptical we will respond according to 1 Peter 3:15

By no means, we intend to hurt your feelings or research because our choice of words and statements might sound rude in our response. That could be because of lack of right statement and words in replying to your points. Hope you read our responses carefully with an open mind and honestly analyse what we are about to share.

I will be putting this up on my blog www.gloryapologetics.blogspot.com so that our viewers are sure about our content on YouTube.

To make it presentable to you and our readers, we choose the below format. Your Point/statement will be titled as “Mr. Saroj” and our Response as “Glory Apologetics”

Let’s get started!

Email Response to a Hindu Brother

He was probably responding to our Video on Meat Eating -Watch here or Eating Prasad - Watch Here

Email Exchange - May 11 2017
Abhinav: I recently came across your video about Hare Krishna. where you appear to be so confident, that is good i would like to talk with confident people.so here i am.and i hope you will response to me without showing back to me. so that we can have better understanding of Religion.

Glory Apologetics: Dear Brother, Thank you for writing to us. I appreciate your interest in knowing more about Christ whom we call as our lord and saviour. I am glad that you have raised some questions and my assumption is that you want to analyse the truth claim made by us. I will describe each points in detail with lot of examples. Hope you don’t get bored in reading.

Abhinav: i have following questions to you. Q1-we see that some body is born poor, some body is rich some body is healthy some body unhealthy, handicapped so why is there discrimination.is God discriminating them.is God cruel, masochist.so what answer do you have in Christianity.

Glory Apologetics: This is an interesting and painful question, which disturbs every individual irrespective of his/her faith. I would like to answer from a biblical perspective as requested.

Firstly, the question assumes that everything from the beginning is in a bad shape, which is not true. Poverty, Disease, physical infirmities etc. are the after effects of SIN. Bible in the first chapter of Genesis repeatedly claims “Everything that God was good”. However, due to the fall of Adam and Eve, sin and curse took control over their descendants that resulted in poverty, disease, infirmities etc. In Romans 3:23 we read that we have fallen short of the glory which is why there is so much of suffering and evil in this world. Broken communion with a perfect God cannot promise a perfect life because he alone is perfect. God never discriminates because he loves us unconditionally. His love manifested on the cross, brings us the promise of re-union with the perfect God for a perfect eternal life when Christ appears again. I invite you to accept the Perfect God’s Perfect offering on the cross for a perfect life in eternity.

Abhinav: Q2.you talk about original sin, father committed sin so son should also suffer. What is the logic in the that.why should son suffer.

Glory Apologetics: I am glad that you already anticipated our response to your first question and framed the second question accordingly. It might seem difficult and illogical to accept the fact that everyone is born as sinners because of two people who we never met. However, we need to keep one thing in mind that we are talking about spiritual things. Since you are talking about Logic, let me try few examples on how I see this.

1 – Let’s assume my father takes a huge loan of 10 crores from XYZ bank and buys a house, car and other things for us. Unfortunately, he dies before paying it off. Will the bank let us free? Will they not ask his legal son (Me) to continue paying the EMIs on behalf of my father? If I deny, will they not seize all our property? We may come on streets and poverty will hit us bad. Should we tell the bank official to ask my dad not me because he is the one who took loan? What was my fault? Why should I pay the loan? Is that your logic?

2 – Take example of Hiroshima/Nagasaki bomb blast. The after effects and genetic disorders are still seen in their descendants. What was their fault? They were not even born. Why should they be suffering?

Above two examples are still materialistic but we are talking about spiritual thing. Let me give one more example to make it very simple.

3 – When you plug a LED bulb to the power source it glows. You can have many bulbs connected to the same wire one after the other. All bulbs will start glowing, until its main plug is connected to the power socket.

What will happen when you remove the plug? Will the 4th or 5th bulb continue to glow? It cannot, because the main plug that supplies the source is not connected to the main socket. Similarly, God is the Main source and Adam and eve are the first bulb connected to the source. Will the wire meaning their descendants carry power to glow? They are unplugged from the Perfect source. How can we expect their descendants to be perfect?.

You can relax and be rest assured now. Because Jesus helps us to re-unite to the main source. Hence, he says “I am the way the truth and the life”. The bulb cannot connect itself to the source. It needs someone more powerful or may be the owner/creator to do it. Jesus being God does it for you! He will give you eternal life.

Abhinav: Q3.when Jesus says that thou shall not kill but you interpret it as.thou shall not murder.why is that .do you want to say Jesus does not have a understanding of English words. is that so.Jesus ate meat in emergency situation, we dont find description anywhere else throughout the bible Jesus eating meet

Glory Apologetics: There are many problems in the question. Let me try to answer as clearly as I can.

First, the question completely ignores the context. In Matthew 5:21-26 Jesus is quoting the sixth commandment from Exodus 20:13 in the Old Testament.

There is a context for both Exodus 20:13 as well as Matthew 5:21-26

Let us see the overall context for Exodus 20:13.

According to the Bible not all killing is murder. Murder is the unlawful taking of a human life. The command not to murder applies to human beings and not to animals. God gave animals to mankind for his use (Genesis 1:26-30; 9:1-4). But, this does not mean that humans have the right mistreat animals and the environment (Genesis 2:15; Deuteronomy 22:6-7; 25:4; Proverbs 12:10).

Under the Old Covenant ancient Israelites were allowed to kill other humans under very special circumstances such as punishment for certain sins, for example, murder (Exodus 21:12-14, Leviticus 24:17, 21) and adultery (Leviticus 20:10, Deuteronomy 22:22-24). God also allowed the Israelites to engage in warfare and even gave them instructions about waging war (Deuteronomy 20:1-20). God also recognized that humans might accidentally kill each other, and he made provisions for this (Numbers 35:9-34; Deuteronomy 19:1-13).

The primary reason God hates murder is that out of all creation, only human are made in his image and likeness (Genesis 1:26-27; 9:4-6). Even before the codification of the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai, the murder of other human beings was wrong (Genesis 4:8-12; 4:23-24; 9:4-6; Exodus 1:16-17). While on earth, Jesus spoke out against murder (Matthew 5:21-26; Mark 10:17-19). We also see in the writings of Paul (Romans 1:18, 29-32; 13:8-10; Galatians 5:19-21), James (James 2:8-11; 4:1-3), Peter (1 Peter 4:15-16) and John (Revelation 9:20-21; 21:7-8; 22:14-15) that murder is wrong. (from bible.org)

Secondly, In Matthew 5:21-26 Jesus amplifies the meaning of the sixth commandment "thou shall not kill." He brings out that to commit murder means more then just killing someone, it means having an angry and unforgiving attitude towards them.

Please go back to my video and check the references I quoted where Jesus is eating meat. He is not eating under any emergency. Please read it once.

Abhinav: Q4.you say animals have no soul. I don't know which world you are in .how can you have such blind faith without any reasoning.we are in a scientific world .we know even plants have life so they do have soul what to say of animals.that's the reason that people even where Christianity originated have given it up and they are either turned atheist or hare Krishna. but still you are believing such things. what proof do you have that animals have no soul.because human and animals have the same symptoms of life as the animals have.if that logic is extended then human beings also does not have soul.

Glory Apologetics: The problem with your question is that you are blindly trusting Amogh Lila. Moreover, based on his answers, you are raising such questions. In one of his videos, he tries to argue that humans and animals have same function of eating, mating, sleeping therefore both have soul and are equal which is completely wrong.

We do live in a world of science and it is not against what we Christians believe. Please do little research on Soul and Spirit.

Biblically, we believe that human beings are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) but animals are not. In the bible, Soul and spirit are interchangeably used but both are separately described which is best understood when read in context. To make it very simple, I will use the below format to explain.

Human beings have:
Flesh – Material that returns to earth after death
Soul – Living source (Breathe) ceases once man is dead
Spirit – Immaterial that never ceases to exist and goes to heaven or hell.

Bible makes many claims about the eternality of human spirit. However, there is no reference for animals being in the image of God. Unlike human beings, Animals do not have spirit because their existence in only limited to earth not to eternity.

Science does not have answers for spiritual enquiries. Science is limited to this finite world and we are talking about the infinite world. Science may not be able to prove that humans have spirit but it cannot disprove either. Therefore, you cannot use this argument.

People who struggle with these kind of questions not only leave Christianity but other faiths too. I wish everyone were as serious as you are. Bible has answers for everything.

Abhinav: Q4these are the reason Christianity is incomplete in its understanding. the people whom Jesus were preaching to were indeed were very fallen that s the reason one of the best disciple cheated him.we can understand the mentality of the people that one man is coming to save them but they betrayed him for small amount of money.in Hinduism we have never seen such disloyal people till today and throughout history.this proves they were most fallen whom Jesus were preaching to.what understanding these people can have about religion who can not even practice morality.

Glory Apologetics: Dear brother, you are attacking and mocking the Christian faith without studying it. Please refrain from such things for any worldview. You cannot make such statements unless you have studied it. Nevertheless, I will answer your question.

You are talking about Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver coin. Because of this you are brutally insulting the people of Jesus’s time and his disciples. This is sad!

Yes! Judas betrayed Jesus because he was a normal human being with a sinful nature but there is a powerful lesson for all of us. Just being a Christian one does not become the true follower of Jesus. He has to have Jesus in him. Unfortunately, Judas let his evil desires take control of him and betrayed Jesus later he regretted. However, do you know what did the other disciples do? I am sure you do not know because you have never read the bible. They gave their life in preaching the gospel. Please read the bible and do not trust anyone who preaches misleading ideas on social media.

I do study Hinduism, but I am surprised that you can make such claims. I am sure you have not read your scriptures too. Please read “Valmiki Ramayana”. “Rama” who you call god cheats his war opponent “Vali” and kills him from behind the tree, which is against the war code. Rama the one who doubts his wife’s loyalty. Morality? Did you ever read “Krishna leela”? I can give many examples. Please study and research before making such claims.

Abhinav: Q5.you say Jesus is God but we say he can be son of God not God himself.other how is that people are crucifying him.in your understanding God may be killed but in Hinduism God is never killed rather he kill the demons always by his supreme prowess .

Glory Apologetics: You can watch our videos where I have given 50 reasons proving Jesus is God.

About Jesus dying on the cross, you can watch this video:

Are you sure that in Hinduism gods were never killed? I encourage you to read about
 Krishna and the hunters arrow
 Rama and Bali
 Rama, Lakshmana and their fate in sarayu river
 Lord Narasimha(Avatar of Vishnu) getting killed by Sharaba(Avatar of Shiva)

I can go on as there are many more. Please read all the sources and then comment.

Abhinav: I hope you will have some answer for these question and will reply back soon.

Glory Apologetics: Dear brother, as requested I have spent good amount of time in writing this email response because we love you. Please remember, Only Jesus can offer eternal life. His love is so great that he gave his life as a sacrifice to save you and everyone from the eternal hell fire. He rose again to give us new life. Please research more as we are not inviting you to a blind faith but a reasonable faith.
If you need more answer, please do not hesitate to write to us. Hope to hear again.
Jesus is waiting for you!

Regards,
Francis

10 Christian Riddles by Ijaz Ahmad - Refuted

10 Christian Riddles by Ijaz Ahmad - Refuted
-By Francis

One of my friends shared an article (http://callingchristians.com/2013/11/05/10-christian-riddles/) and asked me to share my thoughts. The article gave me a good laugh because the author was/is clueless about the christian worldview.
Here I would like to present my responses to the self proclaimed scholar Mr. Ijaz Ahmed.
Riddles, questions, thoughts, I wonder what the answers to these would be?
Instead of wondering why don't you ask the people who are reading the bible just like Muhammad was commanded to (Quran 10:94). Oh you asked?? Lemme respond.
These aren't meant to be insulting, and we do apologize if they seem to be so, these are just honest inquiries into the Christian faith.
I never knew honest inquiries could be so lame and senseless. Nevertheless, I would respond so the hidden objective of yours to mock Jesus is exposed.
Let's get started....
1. If God is love (1 John 4:8), why are babies sent to burn in hell forever if they're not baptised? How is this 'loving'?
Where do you get this from? Quote the scripture instead of shooting in the air. If you are clueless about the teachings of the bible then you must keep quiet and learn as a honest truth seeker.
By the way, if Allah is love. Show us one ayat which says Allah loves his creation and you. Also, if Allah is love why does he create some human beings or allow them to be born who are destined for Hell (Quran 7:178-179 & Sahih Muslim 33.6436). Again, if Allah is love then why does he allow satan to touch every baby(11. Bukhari - Volume 4, Book 54, Number 506)
2. If Mary is the Mother of God and believers are told to Brides of Christ (Revelation 19:7), is the Mother of God, also his bride?
First of all, your question starts with an assumption of Mary being the mother of God. We don’t believe in such blasphemy nor does the bible teach. Mary is just a medium God chose to accomplish his work. Have you heard of “Figures of Speech”? When the bible tells us that the believers are Christ’s bride, we don’t take that in a literal sense. It has a deep spiritual meaning of God’s intimate love towards his creation and only a loving God can say such things. Jesus in his divine essence is a God of all creation (John 1:3) so logically he is God of Mary too. You seem to have grossly misunderstood the trinitarian position.
3. Is God a sexist for coming in the form of a man? Why not as a woman?
I get two things from your question. 1 – Only Jesus came in the form of Man. So you have admitted Jesus is God! Thank you!. 2 – If you deny Jesus being God then you must show me where and when did God came in the form of man?
Is Allah a sexist for attributing masculine pronouns to himself? Why Allah is always called “HE” not “HER” in the Quran?
4. Is God racist for coming as an Israelite, why not as an African, or Indian?
Thank you once again for proving Jesus is God because it was Jesus himself who came as an israelite. Secondly, why not as African or Indian is a strawman argument. Nevertheless, let me respond. God is just and fulfills his promise given to Abraham. God promised Abraham that he will bless the whole world through his descendants and I am sure you have some clue about the bible which says Jacob was an isrealite and was a descendant of Abraham (Genesis 22:17-18). If Jesus was born as an African or Indian he wouldn’t have fulfilled the promise proving himself to be a false God. Thank you once again for proving Biblical God is Just.
By the way, Is Allah racist for making Islam an Arabian religion? Or Racist for choosing Arabic as a divine language for Quran? Why not sanskrit or english?
5. If humans are literally created in the image of God, is the Christian God a hermaphrodite?
Where do you get this from? Provide scriptural evidence. Genesis 1:24 says, God created man in his image and likeness. Do you take these things literally? Image and likeness talks about the essence of God like Goodness, holiness, love, free will etc. Genesis 1:1-2 proves God is a Spirit. Why don’t you read the bible instead of asking such senseless questions and stand exposed like this?
6. Why does Christ not speak of a punishment for rape, murder or incest? Since the gentiles aren't meant to follow the Mitzvot - they live under grace and not the law, why didn't Christ mention that these things were sins or crimes, or even mention their punishments?
Again a stupid and baseless attempt. Jesus in Matthew 5:27-28 talks about adultery which is considered worse in his sight and Jesus talks about the eternal punishment of rape and adultery in Matthew 5:29 (Includes incest and all form of immoral sexual lust). Also, bible teaches us to practice self control unlike Quran’s teaching of veiling woman huh?. Concerning Murder, here’s the beautiful teaching of Jesus. You are destined to hell even if you call your brother a Fool or Raca Matthew 5:22 for the Murder is an effect of anger that proceeds from your heart. You have no clue about the teachings of the bible. Jesus’s teaching is purely a model of Morality unlike Allah who hastens to fulfill the lustful desires of Muhammad.
By the way, Why was Allah approving Paedophilia (Aisha), Incest (Zainab) and Murder (Loads of ayat I can quote), Cheating wife (Hafsa and Slave Girl) I can go on...
7. Where does God speak of the hypostatic union in the Old Testament or the New Testament?
Why should he speak of? What is your point? (will respond once he clarifies his position)
8. Where did Christ command Christians to believe in the Trinity, Hypostatic Union or Crucifiction in order to be saved?
Jesus teaches trinity in Matthew 28:19 and many more. Hypostatic union – Read the Gospel of John in its entirety. Crucifixion – Are you kidding me? Matthew 16:21-28, John 3:16, John 10:28, Jesus would never contradict himself.
9. If Christ has two wills (human and Godly), how do you determine which act was done with Godly intent and which was done with human?
First of all, whatever Jesus did was all in a Godly intent while he practiced human limitations. Jesus displayed his human limitations but never intended anything in a materialistic manner. I hope you know the difference between intent and limitations.
10. Where does Christ teach that he has two wills?
Actually Christ does have two wills in one person. As he said, not my will but your will be done. Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
11. Answers are welcomed, I'm sure there are some who can give some interesting responses. and God knows best
You have been Answered, I am not sure whether my answers are interesting but certainly it exposes your senseless and baseless arguments. And God knows best.
Conclusion: Jesus didn't preach Islam, didn't preach circumcision, didn't preach about mecca, didn't preach about Allah, didn't preach about Quran, Didn't say anything about Muhammad. Why should Christians even listen to your dawah?
